Scoutmaster Minute: Time is a funny thing...sometimes it cannot go by fast enough and other times insanely fast. Twelve years ago I became an adult leader in Pack 127 and eventually I was the Cubmaster. During the Join Scouting sessions I would often take out a rope that measured 80 inches, roughly equal to the time span of the average male. Scoutmaster Minute: The Troop 893 Scouters have yet again demonstrated their heartiness and were undeterred by rain for the 48th run on the Shenandoah River with Downriver Canoe Company. Looking forward to hearing all the stories that I am certain will be shared for years to come. Equally important is the gratifude for the leaders that share their time and knowledge to run the classes and sit on several Boards of Review. Scoutmaster Minute: The Bird Study/Weather merit badge outing was great. The sun was out and multiple bird species were sighted, including this beauty photographed by Mr, Barretto. Take a close look at the talons...take out meal. Scoutmaster Minute: Super Bowl Sunday...The GOAT or The Kid. Who will prevail...only time will tell. I just want to see a good game, and leaning a bit towards Tampa on the principal that old dogs can sill hunt. In terms of Scouting, its looks like MBU is shaping up great and lots of solid work being done on Eagle MBs. We also have multiple scouts working on Bird Study and this wekk covering Weather, plus an outing next Saturday.
