Scoutmaster Minute Our Scouts enjoyed beautiful weather over the weekend while testing their skills at pioneering, rock climbing, and knife/tomahawk throwing amongst other (yes that is a human fooseball pit - brilliant). Certainly some lessons learned in planning department...unity of effort is key. If there is a stumble, don't dwell on it, keep moving forward. Scoutmaster Minute This past week we installed the new Scout Leadership team that will run the program for the next 6 months under Senior Patrol Leader Matthew Sezen's guidance. Scoutmaster Minute: The transition to our new leadership team was put through paces today and I think we ready for the task. It will require continued diligence toward implementing the idea and themes they eventually expressed over the course of the day. In addition, we put the flag pole to great use and have enhances our flag ceremony skills. The EDGE method was also applied by each patrol working together on scout skills of knots and orienteering. Scoutmaster Minute: This weekends outing coincided with the start of our regions seventh heat wave of the summer and "feel-like" temps forecasted to reach triple digits through Wednesday...glad we are back in AC. A big thankyou to Mr. John Organek from the Quantico Orienteering Club for setting up with a great course and a live training exercise.
