Who We Serve
Troop 893 serves youth throughout the Centreville, Chantilly, Fairfax, and surrounding areas.
Boys must be 11 years old, or has completed the fifth grade or earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old but not yet 18 years old, to become a Boy Scout
As a large Troop (about 65 Scouts) we are able to provide many opportunities for various scout
needs.
Troop Activities
Troop 893 is a very active troop; ¾ of Scouting is “Outing”!
We attend a different summer camp, every year, providing opportunities to try new things.
We also send a crew or two to a High Adventure trip every summer to Philmont Scout Ranch, Sea Base or Northern Tier!
We also camp as a troop year round, rain or shine, snow or heat, we do it all.
We have many other fun Troop events (swim nights, Troop Canoe Trip, Troop Ski Trip, Soap Box Derby, patrol nights, etc). We also provide great opportunity for merit badges including our Merit Badge University
