Summer Camp 2024

Thanks for joining us for another year of Summer Camp fun!

This year the Troop will be attending Camp Freedom which is part of the Laurel Highlands Council. Camp Freedom is located on the picturesque Heritage Scout Reservation and is nestled in the mountains of Farmington, Pennsylvania around Lake Courage. Mark your calendars today; we will be departing the morning of Sunday, July 21st, and returning Saturday, July 27th.

Pay With Credit: Once again the Troop will be able to offer the convenience of paying by Credit Card! You may also opt to save some money and
continue to pay by Cash or Check at a troop meeting or by mailing your payment to us. Fees for summer camp this year are as follows:

  • $623 Scout ($605 cash/check discount*)
  • $248 Adult ($240 cash/check discount*)

Payment in full at the time of registration is greatly appreciated. We need all payments finalized by March 5th so we will be able to register for MB classes for Scouts on that date; otherwise, we will have to wait to register for classes and Scouts will likely lose their spots in prime MB classes. If needed, payments may be broken into 2 equal installments (select half installment in the drop-down). Due dates are as follows:

  • Full payment or First half installment, due by Tue, February 6th*
  • Second half installment, due Tues, March 5th*

* Note: payments made by either Check or Cash will receive a cash discount of approximately 3% of the total price. For example, a scout paying by cash/check would pay $605, instead of $620, a $15 savings. Be aware that these savings will only be applied to on-time payments.

Be sure to include the name of the scout/adult in the appropriate boxes below to ensure your family receives the payment credit.  (Please note we are using PayPal to process online payments, so your final checkout will be from the PayPal Shopping Cart.

Pay In-person

For those that prefer to pay for camp in person, please visit the Summer Camp Registration Table at an upcoming Troop meeting. This will be set up in the Narthex of the church at all troop meetings through February 6th. Scouts and adults will have an opportunity to ask questions and submit their camp payments.

Please make sure to bring exact change if paying in cash. All checks should be made out to “Troop 893”. It is okay to submit all your family’s payments as one check. Checks should be handed to Mr. Barreto or Mr. Smith.

Now That You Paid, Don’t Forget to Register!

Please be sure to register all scouts and adults using the online troop registration forms.  Please choose the appropriate link below and just follow the form prompts.  If you have more than one scout or adult attending camp, please submit the form separately for each individual.  No registration will be considered complete without both a complete online registration form and a 1st payment/installment.
