Scoutmaster Minute: The delayed New Scout Campout was a success. Lots of advancement, laughter, comrodiery, jokes, campfire songs, fire building, knots, axe yard, and good food. Oh and it rained…ALOT…a proper breaking in of the new scouts. While we have not been camping since January, the guys knocked the rust off pretty quickly. The new cooking setup expedited meal production and therefore Scout satisfaction. All in all a small taste of “normal”, which I beleive the boys really needed along with a healthy dose of outdoor living. Reminder – Get those tents hanging out to dry ASAP.The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain.– Henry Wadsworth LongfellowRANK ADVANCEMENT
