Scoutmaster Minute: Today we wrapped up another successful Merit Badge University with lots of energy and motivation. Thank you to all the Merit Badge Counselors for the time and effort in helping our Scouts grow, ASM Matt Conner for organizing everyone and The Taylor’s for the generous meeting space. On Friday evening, we had the honor of receiving 2 newly minted Arrow of Light Scouts from Pack 127 with a bit of sibling support. We look for to having all of our new Scouts join the Nova Corp Patrol in the coming weeks. Over the next week Scouts should be thinking about taking a position of responsibility to advance their own rank advancement and in service to current and incoming Scouts. I guarantee that what ever they give, they will receive more in return.

If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing well.
If it is worth having, it is worth waiting for.
If it is worth attaining, it is worth fighting for.
If it is worth experiencing, it is worth putting aside time for.

Meeting Outlook

1. This Week Feb 25: Island Hopping (Pandas)
Uniform Class A
Be prepared for a little strategic competition that will require Patrols to think, communicate and collaborate to be successful.
The SPL will likely also be soliciting input on the planning for the March campout which presents opportunities for rock climbing, and various hikes. Some hike may include Billy Goats and other Cupcakes…your choice.

Adults – we will need support on this one to have proper coverage.

2. Next Week March 3: Leadership & OA Elections

Uniform Class A

Father Time keeps on ticking and its time to prepare the next Leadership team for the Spring 2020 term, April 1 thru September 30. The majority of Scouts are now at a rank level where they must also hold a position of responsibility to demonstrate leadership as a requirement to advance. Will will also conduct elections for those eligible for the Order of the Arrow.

Please review the attached Position Leadership Guide as you think about how you may serve your fellow Scouts in the next term, April-September 2020.
All Scouts holding a position of responsibility are expected to participate in the Junior Leadership Training on March 31 @ the CUMC Activity Field.
