As an American, I will do my best to – Be clean in my outdoor manners. Be careful with fire. Be considerate in the outdoors. Be conservation minded.
 
1. NSC Station Demo/Final Shakedown: April 24 @ CUMC (ALL)
Uniform – Class A
A. Each Patrol will demonstrate plan for applying the EDGE method at their assigned NSC station.
B. Each Patrol will review Duty Roster/Meal Plan for the New Scout Campout (NSC), this include tent assignments.
All Scouts should bring $15 for the grubmaster.
C. ASPL Quartermaster and Patrol QMs should assess Action Packs, camp stove fuel and another items that patrols may request to support NSC stations.
2. New Scout Campout: April 27-29  (ALL)
     Uniform – Class A
All Scouts attending will meet at CUMC Friday evening to gather supplies and equipment. Adults should be prepared to transport Scout if not attending. We typically have plenty of “seats” but please do not depart before we can ensure that all are accounted.
All Scouts must present the SPL with a signed permission slip on Friday evening, not before, to attend. Scouts under 18 are not permitted to drive themselves to an overnight event.
4. Competitive Fire Building: May 1 @ Activity Field (Land Sharks)
     Uniform – Class B
The Land Sharks are developing a competitive fire building event that will challenge Scouts skills and may even involve boiling water in a paper cup!
 
4. 45th Annual Memorial Day Family Canoe Trip, May 25-27, 2018
Uniform – Class B
This is an awesome tradition and everyone on the Troop 893 and Venturing Crew is encouraged to attend. The details for this event were sent via email on April 12 to provide folks with details for planning purposes. An online registration link, similar to summer camp, is forthcoming.
