Scoutmaster Minute: After being installed at last weeks Court of Honor, the new leadership team completed their training today. It is amazing how motivating doughnuts and bagels can be early in the morning. Their first challenge, in the spirit of teamwork, was to build a fire…never seen it get done so quickly.
Balance beam activity JLT 2018
Much thanks to Andrea Shuetz, Lucy Fall, Kimberly Powers, Kye Dowd, Robert Lane and CJ Staton for helping ensure the crew was feed and adults properly caffeinated…armies march on their bellies. Today would not be possible without leadership support from Ryan Pschigoda, Paul Taylor, Shawn Morrow, Erin Thurston, and Adam Weisz. Best of all was the learning and guidance provided from our own Scouts to their peers – Nick Thurston, Artur Dowd, Matthew Sezen, Benjamin Powers, Charlie Schmidt, Lane Meyer and Steven Ruckert and fire marshal Brian Staton for having his 10 essentials!

This meeting will continue with the themes from the Leadership Training by challenging each Patrol to a series of activities that will require the application of planning and communication skills.
Since we are meeting outside at the activity field, please monitor the weather and be prepared for the elements. The sun sets at approx. 7:40pm so artificial light is recommended.

- Service Hours: Grace MinistriesApril 13 & 14
The attachment provides everything you need to know about volunteering with Grace Ministries @ CUMC. As you know it takes many helping hands to set up the church on Friday evenings and to welcome, worship with, and serve our neighbors on Saturday morning. Without your generosity this program would not exist.
To help us be as efficient as possible, please respond ONLY IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP. Let them know what day(s) you are available and what area you would like to be assigned to. Donations of good quality, in season clothing, diapers, toys, children’s books, and household linens are welcome and can be dropped off at the church beginning this Sunday and throughout the week that follows. It is quite helpful if your donations are sorted and appropriately labeled.
